We rejoice with the safe return of our brothers and sisters who went on the mission trip to Peru. They gave a good report of the efforts that were put forth for the cause of Christ in this area of the world, This was a medical mission in which the doctors saw 2139 patients and the pharmacy saw 2130 patients with 7124 prescriptions filled. The dentist saw 391 patients and pulled 466 teeth. 292 people had thcir heads scrubbed for head lice. They gave out 1,000+ eyeglasses during this same time. On the spiritual side of the trip there were 1564 children attending their day class, with an average of 312.8 children per day attending. The teen class had 356 with an average of 71.2 per day in attendance. The night class had 444 with an average of 88.8 per night. 824 attended worship services and studied with 137 individuals and 49 baptisms! We praise God for the success of this trip and the safety of all involved. Please continue to remember this congregation in your prayers which doubled in size during this week. Along these lines the preacher there is in need of some financial assistance because he felt he needed to quit his job in order to continue to study with these people and with others who are interested in the soul-saving gospel of Jesus Christ. If you and your family could donate as little as $5.00 a week toward this work a great burden would be removed from the shoulders of this faithful gospel preacher, if you can help let Bob know! It is wonderful to be, involved in spreading the gospel throughout the world as we are commanded by Christ and thrilling to see such results. May we continue to pray and work here also that we could reach the harvest of souls in our own neighborhoods as well as those in foreign lands.
