WELCOME!
We extend a very hearty and sincere
welcome to all of our visitors. It is an honor to have you with us today
and you are welcome every time our doors are open. Please stay a few minutes
after worship so that we can get to know you.
We exist to serve God and you (Matthew
22:37-39). Please let us know if there are ways we might be of spiritual
service to you all. Simply contact any member and they will help you. We
would rejoice to share this life and heaven with you.
LADIES RETREAT
There will be a ladies retreat in Mt. Home, AR sponsored by the Mammoth
Spring church of Christ on October 17&18. It will begin at 6:30
Friday evening with a meal at Western Sizzllin' and then move to the motel.
Saturday there will be two sessions and it will end at noon. If anyone
is interested in going with Sherrie and Kay, please see Sherrie for details.
The motel room costs $90 but can be slit two, three or four ways
if we can get enough to go. We would leave Friday about 2:30 pm and
return Saturday afternoon by 5:00 or 6:00.
SINGING There
will be a singing at Kansas Expressway on October 12 from 2:00 pm to 4:30
pm. They will be taping this singing to be used on the TV program
"Living Word" which airs each Sunday morning at 7:30 am. Your participation
will be appreciated greatly.
First Annual Camdenton
Lectureship will be held October 5-8
at 7:00 pm nightly, Monday thru Wednesday. Various speakers--Brother
Brent Green will be speaking Sunday.
FIRST SUNDAY FELLOWSHIP
will be next Sunday October 5th. It will be a potluck dinner aftter
the morning service. The hosteses are: Kay Lewis, Verba Cruise, Mona
Page, and Sherrie Clarke. Please plan now to join us for great fellowship.

Jeffrey Bigley fell
and broke his hand last week.
Chris Bigley was
injured in a football game hurting both knees. He was scheduled for an
MRI.
William Bigley has
some health problems also and will see a doctor soon.
Stephen Bigley is
also having some health problems.
This is overwhelming for any family.
Our prayers are with parents, Jeff and Rebecca Bigley, and the children
individually.
Both Roy and Judy Phillips are
feeling much better. Pray that this continues from here on out.
Lucille Mann, grandmother
of Missy Nash, just had hip surgery and is now back in the nursing home.
Alva Herd, great
uncle of D.E. Pleasant, is seriously ill. Let's remember our prayers
for all of the above mentioned.
OUR SYMPATHY to
the Gene Richardson
family at the passing of Gene's nephew,
Ike Letterman.
THE BUDGET COMMITTEE is
already meeting from time to time. If there is anything you wish to have
considered to be added to the budget, please see one of the men on the
budget committee, Bob Lewis, Steve Crews, Ron Thompson, Roy Phillips, and
Hailey Haddock
THANK YOU NOTES-
There are several thank you notes on the
bulletin board in the foyer. A letter from Honduras thanking us for
our support. A letter from Nancy Holtz thanking us for our help while
she battles cancer. A letter from Dony and Linda Rodriguez for our
$1000 donation to hep them buy a piece of land to start building a church
building and preacher's home on. Please take time to read these.
FAIR HAVEN
CHILDRENS HOME We received a thank you
letter from the Children's Home for the supplies picked up. Thank you all
so mcuh for the great way you responded. This time we will concentrate
on bringing:
hamburger helper, instant potatoes, microwave
popcorn, and chocolate chips.
