Doing The Lord's Work in Peru
The main purpose of a Medical Mission Team is to help relieve what pain you can during the day and pray that you will have a chance to share God's Word, to bring one more soul to Christ.

In the past the medical team would arrive and set up shop immediately to help as many people as possible. At the same time the Word of God would be taught to as many people who would listen. But this year the Lord had other plans.

This year the medical supplies were not released until 2 days before the team was suppose to leave, but the missionary team set about teaching the Word of God anyway just as the Lord directs us all to do in the Bible. Seventy Seven were baptized into Christ for the remission of sins and were added by the Lord to the church, the largest number of souls added to the church since those in our
congregation have been going there. This was truly our most successful of Peru missions.

Without medical supplies and in the face of defeat the Lord made true: Romans 8:28 "And we know that to them who love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to His purpose." Team Totals available show that attendance in daytime children's classes averaged 362 and night time children's classes averaged 583. Attendance in night time
worship averaged 195 and 242 Bible studies were conducted. Our figures show there were 77 baptisms.

When the medical supplies were finally released those in need of medical help were treated
until all of the supplies were gone. Over 1400 doctor patients were treated and 6,925
prescriptions were dispensed. In addition there were 116 dental patients, 191 optometry
patients, and 760 benevolence cases.
