WELCOME!
We extend a very hearty and sincere
welcome to all of our visitors. It is an honor to have you with us today
and you are welcome every time our doors are open. Please stay a few minutes
after worship so that we can get to know you.
We exist to serve God and you (Matthew
22:37-39). Please let us know if there are ways we might be of spiritual
service to you all. Simply contact any member and they will help you. We
would rejoice to share this life and heaven with you.
GOSPEL MEETING at
Sparta Church of Christ, October 5-8 at 7 pm each evening. Adam Orr,
preacher at Fordland and graduate of the Bible Institute of Missouri will
be doing the preaching.
10th ANNUAL GOLDEN
AGE JAMBOREE will be held Saturday,
October 11-9:45 noon at Fair Haven. Lunch will be served. Please
see Carlene Branstetter if you want to go. Also Open House of the Childrens
Homes will follow at 1:00 pm.
LADIES RETREAT
There will be a ladies retreat in Mt. Home, AR sponsored by the Mammoth
Spring church of Christ on October 17&18. It will begin at 6:30
Friday evening with a meal at Western Sizzllin' and then move to the motel.
Saturday there will be two sessions and it will end at noon. If anyone
is interested in going with Sherrie and Kay, please see Sherrie for details.
The motel room costs $90 but can be slit two, three or four ways
if we can get enough to go. We would leave Friday about 2:30 pm and
return Saturday afternoon by 5:00 or 6:00.
SINGING There
will be a singing at Kansas Expressway on October 12 from 2:00 pm to 4:30
pm. They will be taping this singing to be used on the TV program
"Living Word" which airs each Sunday morning at 7:30 am. Your participation
will be appreciated greatly.
MENS BUSINESS MEETING
will be next Sunday, October 19th,
at 4:30. If you have anything to be discussed, please give the information
to one of the men.
SINGING AT MARSHFIELD
CARE CENTER will be next Sunday, October
12, at 2:30 pm . Please come out and join in the singing.
NEW QUARTER BEGINS--November
begins the new teaching quarter and students will move up to their new
classes. We will be adding a new class for the th and 6th grades.
We are in desperate need of three more teachers in order to accomplish
this. Ladies, please see Linda Blazer if you would agree to teach
two quarters a year, one quarter on and one off, etc. Thank you.

Jeffrey Bigley and Chris Bigley's fhealth
problems are much better than originally feared.
William Bigley is
still scheduled for some tests.
Stephen Bigley is
also having personal problems and some health issues.
Please keep the Bigley family in your prayers.
Lucille Mann, grandmother
of Missy Nash, is recovering from hip surgery and has been to a nursing
home.
Let's remember our prayers for all of the
above mentioned.
FAIR HAVEN CHILDRENS HOME
Items to bring this time are: hamburger helper, instant potatoes, microwave
popcorn, and chocolate chips.

TODAY after the

THE BUDGET
COMMITTEE is already meeting from time
to time. If there is anything you wish to have considered to be added to
the budget, please see one of the men on the budget committee, Bob Lewis,
Steve Crews, Ron Thompson, Roy Phillips, and Hailey Haddock

to the Thursday morning Ladies Class ofr cleaning and polishing the communion
set. They look great! Thanks for all you do.
