WELCOME!
We extend a very hearty and sincere welcome to all of our visitors. It is an honor to have you with us today and you are welcome every time our doors are open. Please stay a few minutes after worship so that we can get to know you.
We exist to serve God and you (Matthew 22:37-39). Please let us know if there are ways we might be of spiritual service to you all. Simply contact any member and they will help you. We would rejoice to share this life and heaven with you.


GOSPEL MEETING at Shaddy Chapel church of Christ, October 19-22 at 7 pm each evening.  Larry Yarbor will be speaking.  More informaion on the bulletin board.
MENS BUSINESS MEETING will be next Sunday, October 19th, at 4:30.  If you have anything to be discussed, please give the information to one of the men.
LECTURESHIP at the Sedalia church of Christ, Oct 24-26.  The theme is: "The God We Serve." Various topics and times.  Speakers are:Bobby Liddell, Jack Williams, David Long, Wayne Price. Bill Goring, Charles Orr, Larry, Clint, and Derek Yarber, Curtis Cates.  See bulletin board for topics and times. 
GOSPEL MEETING  at Hwy 5 congregation in Lebanon, Oct 26-29, with Bill Dillon of Hickory Ridge, AR.  Evening services at 7:00.  Details on the bulletin board. 
AREA WIDE TEACHER'S WORKSHOP-- at Brookline church of Christ, November 15, 2008, from 8:30-2:30. Lunch provided. There will be classes for teachers of all grades.  Please see the bulletin board for details. 
THE BUDGET COMMITTEEis already meeting from time to time. If there is anything you wish to have considered to be added to the budget, please see one of the men on the budget committee, Bob Lewis, Steve Crews, Ron Thompson, Roy Phillips, and Hailey Haddock
NEW QUARTER BEGINS--November begins the new teaching quarter and students will move up to their new classes.  We will be adding a new class for the th and 6th grades.  We are in need of one more teacher in order to accomplish this.  Ladies, please see Linda Blazer if you would agree to teach two quarters a year, one quarter on and one off, etc. Thank you.

Bob Lewis  will be having knee replacement surgery on Thursday, November 6th.
Brett Richardson, son of Dennis and Mary Ann was taken to the hospital last week with a roccurence of the problem in his lung that he had earlier in the year.  They were able to do surgery and correct the problem and he is at home recovering.
Gene Richardson  is in the hospital at St. Johns and is not doing well.  He needs a pace maker but is too weak for surgery.
At this point it is thought that he will be going into a nursing home when released.
Verba Cruise will return to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis next week for further testing regarding her seizures. Please, let's remember our prayers for all of the above mentioned.

FAIR HAVEN CHILDRENS HOME  Items to bring this time are: hamburger helper, instant potatoes, microwave popcorn, and chocolate chips. 
MONDAY EVENING LADIES CLASS
will be held Monday, November 3, at Louise Bigley's house at 7:00 p.m. All ladies are invited.
THE OLDER AMERICAN CENTER is looking for drivers to deliver meals. They will accept whatever days you can donate your time.
WE REJOICE at the repentance of Nicole Hyder last Wednesday night.  She repented of her past sins and for missing the services of the Lord.  We are proud of her and our prayers are with her in serving her Lord in the future.
