WELCOME!
We extend a very hearty and sincere welcome to all of our visitors. It is an honor to have you with us today and you are welcome every time our doors are open. Please stay a few minutes after worship so that we can get to know you.
We exist to serve God and you (Matthew 22:37-39). Please let us know if there are ways we might be of spiritual service to you all. Simply contact any member and they will help you. We would rejoice to share this life and heaven with you.


FIRST SUNDAY FELLOWSHIP will be today after morning worship.  It will be a chili--soup and sandwich potluck.  Hostesses are Thelma, Wanda, Michelle and Angel.

NEW QUARTER BEGINS--Today, November 2,  begins the new teaching quarter and students will move up to their new classes.  We will be adding a new class for the 5th and 6th grades. The 2-3 year olds will be in room 2.  The new 5th and 6th grade class will be in the west corner of the fellowship room.  The Jr-Sr High class will be in the east corner of the fellowship room  and Terry's class will be in the fellowship room.  All other classes will continue in their same location.
AREA WIDE TEACHER'S WORKSHOP-- at Brookline church of Christ, November 15, 2008, from 8:30-2:30. Lunch provided. There will be classes for teachers of all grades.  Please see the bulletin board for details. 
THE BUDGET COMMITTEEis already meeting from time to time. If there is anything you wish to have considered to be added to the budget, please see one of the men on the budget committee, Bob Lewis, Steve Crews, Ron Thompson, Roy Phillips, and Hailey Haddock
YOUTH NIGHT will be November 16, at Buffalo church of Christ.  Johnnie Sanders will be going.  Anyone wishing to go, please see Johnnie.


MONTHLY SINGING will be held November 22 at 6:00 pm at Bob and Kay Lewis'.  Bring snacks and come and enjoy the singing and fellowship.
HOLIDAY PARTY has been scheduled for December 13 at 6:00 pm in the fellowship room.  Each person bring a gift for a man or a woman - $7.50 or less.  Please put this on your calendar now.  There will be a sign-up sheet in the foyer later.

Ronni Barton, sister of Michelle Crews, has been having problems with kidney stones again.  Also Michelle's brother Robert is not doing well.
Essie Earls, Rob Earls' grandmother, is in Cox South and hospice has been brought in.  She is in very serious condition.
Bob Lewis  will be having knee replacement surgery on Thursday, November 6th.
Gene Richardson, remains in Webco Nursing Home having therapy for his stroke.
Verba Cruise seemed to have had a successful stay at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis and is presently waiting to hear from them  regarding  further treatment..
Ruth McMasters had an episode last week and the doctors determined she has Bell's palsy.
Roy Phillips had PET and CAT scans last Monday and everything was normal.  He will have the scans again in four months.  He and Judy want to thank everyone for all of the ways they expressed concern for them, especially our prayers.
Barbara Knight, wife of Ted Knight who held a meeting for us a couple of years ago had successful surgery, and is recovering at home.
Sherrie Clarke will have outpatient surgery on November 12 to remove a kidney stone.

Please, let's remember our prayers for all of the above mentioned.


FAIR HAVEN CHILDRENS HOME  Items to bring this time are: hamburger helper, instant potatoes, microwave popcorn, and chocolate chips. 
MONDAY EVENING LADIES CLASS
will be held Monday, November 3, at Louise Bigley's house at 7:00 p.m. All ladies are invited.
THURSDAY MORNING LADIES CLASS  will be preparing goodie baskets for servicemen.  Please turn in names and addresses to Jan Sanders of any overseas service personnel you would like to have one sent to by Thursday, October 30.  Goodies or monetary donations should be turned in by Thursday, November 6.
