VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Vacation Bible School has been set to begin August 7-11 from 9 am to 11am for ages 3 years through Jr. High School.  Open house will be Friday evening August 11, 6:30-8:00 pm.  This year's theme and schedule is:

"Champions for God"

Monday Gideon a champion of obedience!
Tuesday Nehemiah a champion for God!
Wednesday Esther a champion of courage!
Thursday Peter a champion of Christian growth!
Friday Paul a champion of evangelism!

LADIES:

Begin to think COOKIES as it's about time to start collecting them.  See Thelma for details on this.

PRAYER LIST UPDATES AND NEW PRAYER REQUESTS

Ted Clarke was diagnosed as having a mild stroke and will undergo some tests over the next 2 weeks.
There are those who have requested prayer. Please call the church number for a list of these  people to include in your prayers.

FAREWELL PARTY

On July 30th after evening services there will be a farewell party for Cary and Kimmy Welch who are moving to Nebraska.  Please plan now to attend.
MEN--WORK DAY
There will be a work day on Saturday, July 29, starting at 8:00 a.m.  You are welcome to come at any time, however.  There are still several things to accomplish before Vacation Bible School, so please help us in this effort.

FAIR HAVEN NEEDS--NEW GOAL

NEW GOAL 25 Packages of Laundry soap, dryer sheets, or fabric softener.   No bleach please. Deadline is September.
