WELCOME!
We extend a very hearty and sincere
welcome to all of our visitors. It is an honor to have you with us today
and you are welcome every time our doors are open. Please stay a few minutes
after worship so that we can get to know you.
We exist to serve God and you (Matthew
22:37-39). Please let us know if there are ways we might be of spiritual
service to you all. Simply contact any member and they will help you. We
would rejoice to share this life and heaven with you.
UPCOMING EVENTS
FIRST SUNDAY FELLOWSHIP will
be potluck today after the morning worship service. Hostesses will
be Linda Blazer, Judy Phillips, Verba Cruise, and Janet Haffner.
Please plan now to stay and enjoy the fellowship.
HOLIDAY PARTY has
been scheduled for December 13 at 6:00 pm in the fellowship room.
Each person bring a gift for a man or a woman - $7.50 or less. Please
put this on your calendar now. There will be a sign-up sheet in the
foyer.
YOUTH NIGHT
at Ava Chruch of Christ will be next Sunday
Dec 7. at 5:00 pm. If you are interested in going, please see Johnnie
Sanders

Ernestine Sandoz was
taken to the hospital last week. They thought it might be heart related
and did an agiogram but everything checked out alright and she came home
Friday.
Beula Branstetter was
not doing well at all last week but has rallied a little at this time.
Ted Clarke was
unable to perform the treadmill. He is waiting to here what is next..
Roy Phillips has had
surgery on his eye and it was successful. He will have to stay down
for 2 weeks while recovering..
Ruth McMasters is
stlll recovering from an episode with
Bell's palsy.
Bob Lewis is
recovering from knee replacement surgery and is improving daily.
Gene Richardson, remains
in Webco Nursing Home having therapy, but is not doing well. . He also
had congestive heart failure from a previous heart attack while at the
hospital and a milder one at the nursing home.
Verba Cruise
is scheduled for surgery on December 30 in St. Louis. If it
is successful she may be seizure free.
Don Thurman, Diana
Greer's dad, has been diagnosed again with skin cancer. It has returned
and is very serious, He goes to St. Louis for consultation on December
17. .
Please, let's remember our prayers for all
of the above mentioned.
FAIRHAVEN CHILDRENS HOME
Items were picked up December 4 and we will now be asking for donations
of : canned chili, ro-tel tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, diced tomatoes
and canned soups.
THURSDAY MORNING
LADIES CLASS is still
in the process of preparing goodie baskets for servicemen. If you
have any names you would like to submit, we have until December 4 to get
them in the mail. There is still time to donate items for baskets--baked
goods, etc. or monetary donation.
HOLIDAY BASKET-
The holiday baskets for the widows and widowers will be prepared and delivered
December 18. Begin now to prepare some homemade goodies for the baskets,
food or otherwise. If you have the name of a widow or widower you
would like to receive a basket, pelase give it to Linda Blazer at least
by December 14. If you are planning to make homemade goodies, please
let Linda know. Monetary donations are also appreciated. Thank
you.
CARD BASKETS-
If you would like to send a card to someone in your church family during
the holiday season or for any reason, there are baskets in the foyer with
initial dividers in them . Stop by and check your intials for a card
or bring someone else something to cheer them up.
